SUMMER FAVOURITES

july: cereal magazine vol.3, mac's russian red, diva's evil eye ring, topshop's kabuki brush & a Gallery Shop; 17A
details
august: oganix's repairing awapuhi ginger shampoo, benefit's they're real mascara, maybelline's colour tattoo in bad to the bronze, essence's translucent powder & mac's 6 smoke and mirrors eye shadows

Going to keep this short as i'm kind of falling asleep since it's two a.m. and school just started.
In the month of July, i stumbled across a gallery shop: 17A while wandering around Bangsar. The shop had a retro feel, decorated with vintage kiddie rides and posters, they also carry several magazines like kinfolk and cereal ○ i love bright lipsticks and i've been eyeing m.a.c.'s russian red for months now; bold lips are definitely a statement and everyone can pull it off. This matte shade is a classic rich medium-dark red and it has neutral undertones perfect for dark and fair skin.

Moving on to August: at a point i gave up on mascaras because it'll always end up smudging on my contacts, but i tried out benefit's they're real mascara and it's been doing wonders for my thin straight lashes. Maybelline's creamy bad to the bronze and m.a.c.'s 6 smoke & mirrors eye shadow for bronze eyesthey're both pretty easy to carry around and really pigmented. A new step that i do is applying essence's loose translucent powder to seal the look, it's a very fine powder, similar to make up forever's HD powder except it's literally 10 times cheaper. Moving on into the showers, i've noticed my hair went from oily to frizzy so i switched my shampoo from organix's rejuvenating cherry blossom ginseng to their repairing awapuhi ginger shampoo (which smells too good to be a shampoo) just until my hair calms down and i'll be able to alternatively use both to maintain the condition.

Lastly, I'd like to end this post with a book recommendation: cassie clare's the mortal instruments: city of bone(r)s. The mortal instruments is a hilarious, heart-stopping book series about angles, demons, nephilims (shadowhunters), vampires etc. this book has the biggest plot twists and is one of my personal favourites, the movie was released recently so read it before you watch it!

p.s. maybe a playlist recommendation next?
